Legacy uses reduced radiation 3-D digital mammography for the fastest, most accurate results with the lowest radiation exposure possible. Our Breast Health Centers also offer leading-edge screening technologies, including breast-specific gamma imaging (BSGI), breast MRI and ultrasound, for cases where mammography alone isn't enough. Legacy has won multiple quality awards for the excellence of our breast health care, including designation of our Breast Health Centers as Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.

 

Responsibilities

Performs mammography procedures according to physician's orders, or screening guidelines, utilizing knowledge and judgment in regard to exposure factors, imaging technique, and patient care. Demonstrates proficiency in the field of Mammography.

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of certified Radiologic Technology school or program.

 

Experience:

At least one-year previous experience in General Radiology. Mammography experience preferred. Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

Current applicable state license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology required.

Must meet MQSA requirements for mammographers.

A.R.R.T. registration in Radiology and Mammography required.
