Responsibilities

Promotes the development and execution of the Supply Chain Organization services and strategy.  Drives standardization of processes and systems to manage the total cost of purchased goods and services for the organization.  Employs initiatives championing Lean management.  Directs all aspects of supply chain contracting, strategic sourcing, procurement, analytics, systems, governance and value analysis functions.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field required.  Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration,  Business Administration or related field highly preferred.  Formal project management experience or certificate is preferred.

 

Experience: Minimum three years of management experience required.  Five years of diverse and progressively more responsible health care experience and/or related field.  Firm understanding of end-to-end supply chain required.  Experience in Lean management and project management preferred.

 

Skills:

Demonstrated understanding of end-to-end supply chain, market conditions, and cost containment strategies.

Established ability to successfully implement new programs and strategy to facilitate department improvements, support systemwide programs and re-engineering efforts.

Strong facilitation and project management skills. Able to drive to results with a focus on speed-to-value.

Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Proven ability to assess long and short-term goals of the department and to adopt the priorities and strategies to achieve them.

Demonstrated ability to define and communicate performance targets and hold staff accountable to those targets.

Firm understanding of finance (e.g., revenue, expense, GL, balance sheet).

Proven ability to effectively build positive working relationships across all levels of the organization (relationship management).  Demonstrated political savvy.

Demonstrated ability to build effective supplier relationships.
