A Contract Administrator will be accountable for contracting and strategic sourcing activities including conducting bids or other procurement strategies for goods and services for the organization. You will manage the contract life cycle from inception through execution ensuring that all contracts, basic to complex, are prepared in accordance with established policies and department practices. Your attention to detail and relationship management skills ensure that the right agreements are in place so Legacy can continue to provide services that make life better for others.
Pursues contracting opportunities for services, capital equipment and supplies through the use of negotiations, competitive bidding processes or other procurement strategies for goods and services.
Manages contract completion to critical timelines including milestones and expiration and renewal dates.
Administers evaluation agreements to support the new product introduction (NPI); facilitates contractual aspects of the NPI process and product conversions.
Establishes and sustains centralized sourcing and standard supplies and services.
Identifies and executes savings and rebate opportunities.
Ensures that contract savings targets are met; tracks and reports cost avoidance and cost savings for dissemination.
Develops and manages strategic alliances to facilitate an effective and streamlined operational and service experience for stakeholders.
Participates in relevant department meetings and Value Analysis and System Resource Councils assuming a key role with respect to product standardization.
Provides consultative and liaison services to key stakeholders to educate, inform, train, and assist with supply, capital or other acquisition issues.
Monitors supplier performance and partners with internal stakeholders to ensure contract compliance.
Actively manages and supports Lean process improvement projects and follow standard work protocol.
Participates in professional development activities and educational programs.
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or a related field or equivalent experience (Legacy Health employees only) required. CMRP preferred.
Minimum of three years of contract administration or supply chain management that includes considerable contract and sourcing expertise or related business field experience required. Healthcare experience a plus.
Proficient at developing and understanding competitive bidding documents and cost models.
Demonstrated knowledge at driving contract negotiations related to products, equipment and service procurement.
Proficiency with sourcing and knowledge of supply distribution alternatives.
Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision.
Proven ability to work independently and on a team, model accountability and establish and monitor to expectations.
Demonstrated experience with customer and vendor relationship management affecting positive stakeholder outcomes.
Proven ability to analyze and interpret data, assess and mitigate risk and initiate resolution.
Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, research, analytics, presentation, facilitation, organization and training.
Proven ability to effectively communicate, oral and written, to all stakeholders.
Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
