The Vice President provides leadership to the Pharmacy program across sites.  Works to integrate services within the Pharmacy program to maximize efficiency and quality.  Works collaboratively with designated medical leaders, directors, and Senior Management to develop and further the vision and strategies of Legacy Health. 


Within Pharmacy Services, the Vice President is accountable for input to, and execution of, strategic planning initiatives, system operations, clinical services, quality assurance, financial management and system cost reduction strategies.  Provides leadership to a team of managers and staff from throughout the system to develop and achieve program objectives.  Facilitates excellent communications through enhancement of professional/public relationships both internally and externally.  Responsible for evaluating system clinical and operational initiatives and recommending redesign and development of new services.



Education:   Bachelor's degree required. Master's or Pharm.D. preferred.


Experience:  Minimum of five years progressively more responsible experience within health care environment including: multi-hospital pharmacy operations management, budget forecasting, human resources, patient-focused care, computer systems, pharmacy clinical services management, physician relations, technology applications, cost accounting, team building, reengineering, and continuous quality improvement. 



Skills:  Knowledge of health care issues, demographics, financing, policy changes. 

Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

Leadership ability to work throughout the system to accomplish the objectives of the organization.  Organizational skills both to function independently and to work closely with other professionals using a team approach.  Judgment skills to make appropriate decisions.  Ability to handle multiple demands and to respond rapidly to changing priorities.
