Responsibilities

The Manager, Creative Operations provides direction and oversight to the work of the project management, digital, and creative teams.

 

This role is responsible for all processes, systems, and tools involved in the production of creative projects, including internal project management systems, self-service ordering systems with various vendors, in-house video studio, photo libraries, usage rights tracking, and asset archiving.

 

This position is also responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the website, including the content management system.

 

This role leads individual staff development and establishes team goals and department standards, with a focus on collaborative problem-solving, delivering excellent customer service, and running creative projects efficiently and at the highest standards.

Qualifications

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree required in marketing/communications or related major, or equivalent experience.

 

Experience: 

  • 7 years experience in a marketing/communications department with emphasis on highly detailed work, project management, and maintenance of systems and processes or relevant experience required.
  • Supervisor/manager experience required.
  • Experience working in/with an advertising, digital, or design agency or as part of an in-house creative agency preferred.
  • Experience in digital and video production is preferred.

 

Skills:

  • Ability to directly manage people and work queue, as well as indirectly oversee the work of people and tasks using influence and credibility.
  • Ability to analyze, organize, monitor, and report on project status.
  • Ability to define, implement and maintain standard work processes for a large team.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within groups.
  • Computer skills with spreadsheet and word processing applications, including Microsoft, web content and digital asset management systems, and limited graphic design/photo software.
  • Project management skills and knowledge of enterprise project management systems.
  • Ability to learn software programs and serve as a super user for internal users. Ability to effectively train other users, troubleshoot issues, plan enhancements with vendors, adapt processes, etc.
  • Ability to manage budgets above $1 million.
  • Ability to identify need for, and effectively direct, freelance labor.
