Legacy Silverton Medical Center serves the heart of the Willamette Valley with a wide mix of services, many not typically available in a community hospital: CT scan (computerized tomography), nuclear medicine, echocardiography, family birth center and much more.

Responsibilities

The Paramedic - Emergency Services Technician participates as a member of the healthcare team by assisting the Licensed Independent Practitioner (L.I.P.), R.N. and Unit Secretary. The position is an integral part of the team approach to patient care and performs those tasks that contribute to the smooth and efficient flow of patients through the department.

Qualifications

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent.

 

Experience:

Previous patient care experience in an Emergency environment and/or with children strongly preferred.

Skills:

Basic medical terminology. Computer familiarity. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize multiple assignments.

Licensure

Current American Heart Association approved CPR certification required. Current Paramedic license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) also required.
