Responsibilities

Manages the daily operational activities of the neurodiagnostic services across Legacy Health in alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization.

 

The manager is the first line of management and has 24-hour responsibility for the overall operations of a department or unit. Provides leadership and overall direction to the department working with physicians, medical director, director and department staff to plan and deliver neurodiagnostic services to Legacy patients. Neurodiagnostic services include but are not limited to electroencephalography (EEG), evoked potentials (EP), long-term monitoring for epilepsy (LTME), continuous EEG monitoring (cEEG), ambulatory monitoring and intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM). Works with the Administrative and Medical Directors in program advancement, personnel management, quality assessment and assurance, operational, and financial direction of neurodiagnostic services. Requires ability to work at all Legacy hospitals and perform clinical duties as needed.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education/formal training and experience. Graduate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program or accredited college or university institution is preferred.

 

Experience: Minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in Neurodiagnostic Services. Management or Supervisory experience required. Proven leadership expertise, financial management, and excellent human resource skills required. Thorough knowledge of operations, including staffing and scheduling, budget management, and workflow planning.

 

Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Experience using every day technology tools (email, spreadsheets, word processing, voicemail, internet/intranet) to access, organize and store job-related information.

Licensure

AHA BLS Certification. R.EEG T. certification by the American Board of Registration of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ABRET).  Additional credentials in neurodiagnostic services (R. EP T., CLTM, CNIM) preferred.
