This position floats between Mount Hood and Meridian Park and has the following roles while working with the Telehealth team:

 

Scheduler is the person that coordinates the date & time of the inpatient consult with the provider and hospital staff:  

  • Point of contact for the provider to schedule the inpatient consult.
  • Schedules, reschedules, and cancels the inpatient consults.
  • Coordinates the person that will transport and tele-present for the inpatient consult. 

Transporter is the person that retrieves the telemedicine device and takes it to and from the patient exam room for the inpatient consult: 

  • Prior to the inpatient consult the transporter brings the telemedicine device to the patient room.
  • After the inpatient consult the transporter brings the telemedicine device back, cleans and disinfects the device. Ensures that the device is plugged in and charging. 

Tele-presenter is the person that is with the patient during the inpatient consult and if required, assists with the physical examination of patient directed by the provider: 

  • Specialties that require a physical examination are Infectious Disease & Neurology. 

 

 

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting licensed nursing personnel in the provision of nursing care. Participates as a member of the health care team under the direction of a licensed nurse as defined by Standards and Authorized Duties for Certified Nursing Assistants (OAR 851-63-0010 - 0060, 0080, 0090) or Nursing Assistants (WAC 246-841-400, 405). Also assists with clerical functions, housekeeping, and patient transportation throughout the hospital.

 

Qualifications

Skills/Abilities:

Basic familiarity with computers preferred.

Licensure

Oregon:  Current CNA 2 (Acute Care) certificate required.

 

Washington:  Current CNA certificate or NAR license (Nursing Assistant Registered) required. An NAR-licensed CHT has 120 days to obtain the CNA certificate.

*If performing phlebotomy tasks (capillary or venous blood draws), those who perform this job in the State of Washington must be a Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist.

 

AHA BLS for Health Care Provider required.

Pay Range

USD $21.45 - USD $30.66 /Hr.
