Coordinates the day-to-day shift operations of the staff at a designated site and/or department while also performing the duties of a staff member. Additional duties include coordinating workflow, problem solving and creating staff schedules.
The Imaging Support Specialist performs a variety of clerical, computer information systems and support functions, and processes the associated data. Responsibilities include work as assigned in several of the following areas: Outpatient admit, order entry, exam scheduling, importing and exporting images into PACS, document scanning, film file room functions, phone/fax results and providing customer service, and general clerical duties. May also include patient transportation, technical assistance and other patient related duties as assigned.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
One year of experience in radiology and/or related medical field preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
Communication, customer service and reception skills. Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions. Filing skills. Medical terminology preferred. CPR required for those assigned patient care duties.
