Overview

Remote Position (OR/WA Only)

 

This is a remote position – incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only. There may be occasional situations that require work to be performed on-site at an assigned Legacy Health location.  All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork. This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the remote schedule. 

Responsibilities

Application Systems Analyst II- IS Content Services

 

This position is part of a team of analysts in Legacy Information Systems (IS), Application department. The core duties of this position are to provide basic to intermediate level support for OnBase, RightFax, and similar content management applications. Experience with these systems and technologies is preferred. Certification in OnBase Administration due within first six months of employment.

 

Rooting their practices in ITIL standards, analysts from this team focus on implementing, maintaining and enhancing these applications and their workflows. They also collaborate closely with the IS Service Desk as well as the IS technical and application delivery teams, to resolve customer incidents, identify root causes, and recommend and implement solutions. Data will drive the excellence of this team by way of benchmarking, following best practice service metrics and powering continuous improvement in production stability and customer satisfaction.

 

A major focus of this role will be to collaborate with operational partners and leaders as well as to deliver well thought out, clear and frequent communication with customers and system leaders regarding service request status and system functionality. Empowered to work directly with vendors, IS teams, partners, operational users, IS leaders and colleagues, this team will pursue solutions for complex service requests, production issues and ensure an ongoing stable application environment

With a strong customer service orientation, analyzes, designs, implements and supports new information systems and changes to existing information systems: 

  • Collaboratively, with users and IS peers, works to understand and capture business needs and develops requirements for small to medium applications.
  • Analyzes and documents application processes and functions.
  • Defines design alternatives and recommendations and develops specifications, often in collaboration with business partners or vendors.
  • Builds or configures systems.
  • Develops and executes test scripts to ensure software accuracy, completion and validity.
  • Develops IS internal procedures and documentation.
  • Works with customer to troubleshoot and solve moderately complex problems and provide production support.
  • Communicates with customer regarding the status and completion of requests, in an agreed-upon, timely manner and/or in accordance with an applicable Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Documents in the ITSM system to define standards.
  • Thoroughly and diligently follows change control processes, when applicable.
  • Follows IS-defined support model and expectations in communicating with customers.
  • Uses Lean and ITIL principles to investigate and improve existing inter- or intra-team processes.

Qualifications

Education: 

Bachelor's degree preferred.  Relevant experience may be substituted for educational requirements.

 

Experience: 

2+ years of information technology experience in relevant healthcare or business area.

 

Has worked in a healthcare setting, and/or in a relevant operational area for the position (i.e., Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Revenue Cycle, etc.), and/or in an information technology role supporting a relevant operational area.

  

Skills: 

Knowledgeable about key concepts, current developments, and trends in information technology and information systems relevant to the position, including application configuration and system layers, system integration, and database fundamentals.

 

Demonstrated ability to perform systematic, thorough analysis and problem solving, and to initiate client problem resolution.

 

Understanding of system integration key concepts and technical protocols.

 

Demonstrated ability to establish, conceive and describe systems, designs, flow charts, schedules, and requirements.

 

Strong interpersonal skills that promote effective working relationships with a wide range of people, including peers.

 

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

 

Licensure

Licensure/Certification: 

Professional certifications may be required depending on the specific position, such as ITIL Certified, Microsoft Certified Professional, EHR Certification, HFMA.

Pay Range

USD $42.26 - USD $62.96 /Hr.
