The Associate General Counsel – Employment and Labor Law will report to the Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, serving as a trusted advisor on employment and labor law matters for the organization.
This role provides counsel on legal compliance, workplace investigations, organization policies, labor law and labor relations, including union organizing, collective bargaining, and contract administration, representation before administrative agencies, and defense of legal actions.
Expertise in federal and state employment and labor laws and regulations, including discrimination and harassment, disability, leaves of absence, wage and hour laws and regulations, the National Labor Relations Act, and experience with employment litigation is required.
The position is ideal for experienced attorneys who have proven success independently managing complex and confidential legal issues, who can collaborate effectively with a diverse management team, and who can provide guidance in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
This is a hybrid role. On days when onsite activity is not required, individuals in this role may work remotely. All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new employee orientation.
