You’ll provide basic patient care and unit support, while also managing the daily operations of our centralized feeding preparation mixing room—ensuring safe and precise nutrition for our most vulnerable patients.

We offer unrivaled pediatric expertise in a state-of-the-art facility designed exclusively for children. From routine care to the most complex cases, pediatricians and families trust us to provide the most advanced medical and surgical care for kids.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily operations of the centralized Mixing Room in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

  • Prepares all enteral feedings requiring mixing or supplementation using precise measurements and aseptic techniques.

  • Ensures the safe, accurate, and timely preparation of nutritional feedings for neonatal patients.

  • Works closely with the neonatal healthcare team to support clinical nutrition and patient safety.

  • Functions as a key member of a multi-disciplinary care team in a family-integrated care environment.

  • Provides basic patient care and unit support under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).

  • Performs a broad range of clinical and operational tasks that are vital to patient care but do not require RN licensure.

  • Assists with tasks such as feeding support, diapering, positioning, and patient comfort measures.

  • Helps maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked patient care environment.

  • Demonstrates compassionate, team-based care while supporting infants and their families in a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Basic patient care and aseptic technique knowledge.
  • Proficient keyboard use and navigation of electronic systems.
  • Accurate math skills, including algebra, under time pressure.
  • Effective prioritization, multitasking, and attention to detail in fast-paced settings.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.
  • Courteous and tactful interactions, even under stress.

Licensure

  • American Heart Association approved CPR certification required. 
  • Oregon CNA certification or Medical Assistant Certification from either the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), the American Medical Technologists (AMT), the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA) required, or LPN or RN license.

Pay Range

USD $21.88 - USD $31.27 /Hr.
