Overview

Trauma, Acute Care & Critical Care Surgeon Opportunity

Legacy Emanuel Medical Center is one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier safety-net hospitals, with the Trauma & Acute Care Surgery Service at the center of its mission. As a unique urban, non-university Level I Trauma Center, Legacy Emanuel provides high-acuity, multidisciplinary care for some of the region’s most complex emergencies.

Our advanced clinical capabilities span trauma, acute care surgery, surgical critical care, ECMO and burns. Surgeons practice the full spectrum of surgical care including cutting-edge resuscitative techniques, chest and abdominal wall reconstruction, and advanced robotics in both elective and acute care environments. Surgeons joining our team will practice in a dynamic environment supported by robust clinical infrastructure, a collegial multidisciplinary team, and a strong commitment to exceptional outcomes for a diverse urban community.

Education is integral to our service. Surgeons work closely with DO, MD, and PA students from institutions throughout the region, as well as surgical and military residents from three local training programs throughout the year. The team is further supported by nationally recognized programs in education, community outreach, and performance improvement.

We are seeking Trauma, Acute Care, and Critical Care Surgeons who are committed to clinical excellence, collaborative teamwork, teaching, and meaningful community impact.
